Bulb & Blossom meeting set Monday
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Eunice Bulb and Blossom Garden Club will be at 6 p.m. Monday hosted by Fran Guillory.
The meeting will take place at the Methodist Fellowship Hall. The Program will be about, Bulbs Always Dependable/Spring Flowering Bulbs, Hyacinth Illustration of corms, tuber bulbs & rhizomes.

Youth baseball, softball registration extended
Registration for the Eunice Rec Baseball & Softball season has been extended to March 7.
Registration is available at eunicerec.com.
Registration is $60 per child.
Robert Johnson, recreation director, stated there is nearly enough players for the 12U and 14U baseball and softball leagues. A waiting list has been established for these leagues to allow parents to list the players without paying immediately.
The recreation department’s Facebook page has a video update on registration numbers.
Once it is determined there are enough players in each league, parents will be contacted for payment through their online account.
VFW bingo starts on March 14
The VFW Post 8971 will hold Bingo beginning on March 14.
The public is invited each Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. to play Bingo at the VFW Hall located on Hwy. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community.
There will be a New game offered.
The VFW Hall doors open at 4 p.m.
Registration, voting deadlines
Early voting begins Saturday and ends March 13 for the March 20 election.
Early voting locations will be at the Registrar of Voters office, 118 S. Court St., Suite 114, and Eunice City Hall, 300 S. 2nd St, Eunice. Early voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day with the exception of Sunday.
Other dates include:
— March 16. Deadline to request mail ballot from registrar.
— March 19. Deadline for registrar to receive voted mail ballot other than military and overseas.
Clovis Crawfish books on sale
The City of Eunice is selling Clovis Crawfish books by Mary Alice Fontenot as a fundraiser for the city’s 125th anniversary.

VA van trips are available again
The Veterans Administration (VA) has started making van trips to the facilities, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Riders are asked to meet at the Eunice City Hall parking lot.

The three veterans organizations in Eunice are looking for new members. American Legion Post 129, VFW Post 8971 and the DAV chapter are welcoming new members.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.

Free amplified telephones and hearing aids are available to Louisiana residents. The program is funded by a state agency, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.

Funeral honor guard for vets needs help
A foundation has been set for the St Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard and now it needs donations to become a reality, according to Lincoln “Link” Savoie, coordinator.
