Dwayne and Leslie Fontenot of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Claire Fontenot, to Hayden Mitchell Saucier, son of Shannon Stone of Gonzales and Todd Saucier of Evergreen.
Miss Fontenot is the granddaughter of Anna Leger and the late Clyde Vidrine of Chataignier, the late Henry Paul “HP” and Gloria Fontenot of Eunice.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Saint Edmund High School, Louisiana State University and Louisiana State University of Medicine in Shreveport. She earned a bachelor of science in Biochemistry in 2017 and will achieve a Doctor of Medicine in May of 2021.
She plans to start working as a OBGYN Resident Physician at Houston Methodist Hospital in July of 2021.
Mr. Saucier is the grandson of the late Jason and Elsie Saucier of Cottonport and Patrick Sanchez and Joyce Fontenot of Gonzales.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Comeaux High School and Louisiana State University where he earned a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering. He attended LSUE and played baseball from 2010-2012.
The groom-elect is employed at Suez in Houston.
The couple will exchange vows on Friday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice.
