Letters to the Editor are always welcome at the News, but it’s necessary for confirmation/identification purposes to include author’s printed name, signature and work/home telephone number.
While the News does print the author’s name it doesn’t print telephone numbers or residence/business addresses unless such a request is made in writing on the letter. However, without a phone number to verify the letter, we can not print it.
No anonymous letters are published.

Brevity is encouraged.
We no longer accept hand-written letters. Letters we deem as political copy may be placed as advertising.
