Concert Band, Choir rehearsals set
The Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir will begin rehearsals on May 10 for the choir and May for the 11 band for their 31st Anniversary Concert, “Be Our Guest.”

Registration slated for Highland Early Childhood Center
Fall registration for the New Highland Early Childhood Center will be held from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 24.
To register, a child must be 4 years old by Sept. 30, 2021.
When registering, one must bring a birth certificate, immunization record, 2 consecutive check stubs for each working parent or SNAP verification with child’s name, proof of residence, legal custody papers (if applicable), and Medicaid or child’s insurance card.

ABC annual golf tourney set June 5
The Acadian Baptist Center will host its 8th annual Golf Tournament beginning at 8:30 a.m. June 5 at the Farm d’Allie Golf Club on 1235 Beau Bassin Rd., in Carencro.

“Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World”
A morning of reflection for women is being offered by Petals of Mercy, a Theresian community in Eunice, on May 7.
The event will take place in the Jeanmard Hall at 250 N. 3rd St. in Eunice with refreshments from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and the program ending at 11 a.m.
The theme for the morning will be “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World”.
There will be no charge for attending, however a love offering will be accepted with funds going to the New Life Pregnancy Center.

Two programs are ongoing at the First Baptist Church of Eunice Fellowship Hall.
Grief Share meets on Sundays through May 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. with new material every week.
Single and Parenting meets on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. through May 19 also with new material each session.

VFW bingo Thursday & Sundays
The VFW Post 8971 will hold Bingo. The public is invited each Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. to play Bingo at the VFW Hall located on Hwy. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community.
There will be a New game offered.
The VFW Hall doors open at 4 p.m.
Butter making class to be taught online
BATON ROUGE — The LSU AgCenter Food Incubator will be sponsoring an online homemade butter making class on May 5.
The class is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the link to register is https://bit.ly/3reWpzx.
Gaye Sandoz, director of the incubator, said dairy professor Chuck Boeneke will explain the science behind making butter and will demonstrate how to make it.

The Veterans Administration (VA) has started making van trips to the facilities, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.
