A 64-year-old Opelousas woman was forced to live in her bedroom and denied use of a bathroom by her son and his girlfriend, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
Alvin Jackson Kennedy II, 42, and Lauren Marie Oberle, 39, both of the 3800 block of Highway 35 South, Opelousas, have been charged with cruelty to the infirmed. Each has a $7,500 bail.
