St. Edmund Elementary second-grade teacher Jana Richard visits with two of her students Elizabeth McGee and Luke Vidrine during Thursday evening’s Open House at St. Edmund Elementary. Parents had the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and ask questions about school policies and classroom rules and assignments.

Boy Scouts Troop camp at Lake Fausse Pointe. Newly chartered Boy Scout Troop 430 attended the first over night camp out at the New Iberia Sheriff’s Department’s Island Outpost in Lake Fausse Pointe. The scouts concentrated on camping and cooking skills and spent freetime fishing and hiking. Troop 430 is chartered by St. Edmund School.
St. Edmund High School students Caroline Frey and Morgan Bollich and Eunice High student Victoria Hebert share their experiences at the Camp RYLA event, held at Lake Fausse Point State Park June 2-5.
Central Middle receives school supplies. The employees of Aaron’s recently donated school supplies to Central Middle School. The store employees paid $5 every Friday for the privilege of having a casual dress day. The money raised was then used to purchase much-needed school supplies.
