Boy Scouts Troop camp at Lake Fausse Pointe. Newly chartered Boy Scout Troop 430 attended the first over night camp out at the New Iberia Sheriff’s Department’s Island Outpost in Lake Fausse Pointe. The scouts concentrated on camping and cooking skills and spent freetime fishing and hiking. Central Middle receives school supplies. The employees of Aaron’s recently donated school supplies to Central Middle School. The store employees paid $5 every Friday for the privilege of having a casual dress day. The money raised was then used to purchase much-needed school supplies.
