EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mete Alpay announces his peaceful passing on Friday, September 3, 2021, in his home at the age of 74. Mete retired from LSUE as an Assistant of Chemistry Professor after working there for 35 years. His past times include playing the guitar and spending time with his two boys.
Mete will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his sons, Damian Alpay of Austin, TX, and Adrian Alpay and wife, Katelynn of Baton Rouge, LA; his brothers, Tulga Alpay of California, and Tanier Alpay of Turkey; and his sister, Melis Alpay of Turkey; as well as extended family and friends.
