Work on La. 91 — Maple Avenue — is now in its second week after starting Oct. 6.
The project on the main thoroughfare in Eunice has been years in the making, but even after contractor Prairie Construction of Opelousas was selected in February the start was stymied by weather.
There was even a delay while a half-mile stretch of La. 13 from Maple Avenue to Sittig Road was added to the project.
