Veterans Day is nearly always a mix of celebrating the living veterans and those who died in service to the nation.
At the Eunice VFW Post 8971 the ceremony is usually outside and then moved inside for a gumbo.
Thursday’s celebration was held entirely inside the Post home as rain threatened.
