A Mamou native is serving aboard USS Nebraska, one of the world’s most advanced nuclear-powered submarines.
“Growing up he told me a lot of stories,” said Deshotel. “Once I reached my senior year, I started researching and decided to join as well. My grandfather was a senior chief yeoman serving aboard submarines.”
