A 14-year-old juvenile has been charged in the shotgun-shooting death of a 15-year-old boy in June 2021.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the death was first reported as a suicide, but as an investigation unfolded it became clear it was an accidental shooting.
The juvenile, who was 13 years old at the time of the incident, has been charged with negligent homicide.
