North Acadiana is getting a case of fiber optic fever as the high-speed internet resource nears fruition due to a flood of federal dollars.
Ryan Meche, director of LUS Fiber, speaking at a meeting of the St. Landyr Economic Development District Board in Opelousas on Tuesday, said LUS Fiber is ready to serve the west side of Interstate 49 with fiber optic cable.
