A site off Gradnigo Island Road northwest of Opelousas has been found for the Confederate monument now on the St. Landry Parish Courthouse grounds, said Parish President Jessie Bellard.
The Sons of the Confederacy determined the site and he expects the monument to be moved in the next month.
