A major in the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office faces charges after being investigated for using his office for personal gain, according to a news release from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
Maj. Elliot Patrick Bertrand, 37, of the 200 block of North Bobcat Drive, Eunice, is charge with felony theft, felony injuring public records and felony malfeasance. His bail was set t $8,000.
