The St. Landry Council on Aging held a Mardi Gras dance for seniors Monday at the Northwest Community Center. Winning The Best Male Dancer was Dale LaFleur and Kathy Thomas won The Best Female Dancer.
Winning The Prettiest Costume was Olita Bordelon and Christy Manuel won the Most Traditional Costume during the Council on Aging Mardi Gras dance held Monday at the Northwest Community Center.
Winning King and Queen at the Council on Aging Mardi Gras dance were Wallace and Shirley Trahan of Port Barre. The emcee for the afternoon event was Eddie Thibodeaux with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office.
The St. Landry Council on Aging held its annual Mardi Gras dance Monday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Northwest Community Center.
Senior citizens and younger enjoyed live entertainment provided by J & The Zydeco Dog Pound.
Awards and trophies were awarded to The Best Female and Male Dancer, King & Queen, The Most Traditional Costume, and the Prettiest Costume.
