A hotel-motel occupancy tax has been proposed for the City of Eunice.
Mayor Scott Fontenot said the tax has been talked about for at least 10 years, but nothing has happened to make it a reality.
At the city’s February Board of Aldermen meeting, a resolution was passed to support the tax.
A 2% tax is proposed if passed.
