The Eunice Police Department has a police dog thanks to a donation from the Town of Mamou.
The police K9, named Amos, is a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois assigned to Patrol Officer Keith Peters.
Police Chief Kyle LeBouef said that shortly after he took office, Mamou’s assistant chief, Caleb Semien, visited him and asked if he would like the K9.
