A former Town of Washington employee has been charged with theft and malfeasance in office over traffic citations.
Erica Shauntrell Zacharie, 38, of the 100 block of Garnet Drive, Opelousas, turned herself in at the St. Landry Parish Jail and booked on the warrant issued for her arrest.
