NAUW Eunice Branch recognized several women in the community during Women History Month. March is recognized nationally as “Women History Month” and has done so officially since 1980, when President Jimmy Carter declared it a National holiday and began issuing proclamations. National Women’s Day is March 8 and is celebrated world-wide each year. The President of the United States selects a theme, this year’s theme was, “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Story!”
