In March, the St. Landry Parish Council voted unanimously to conduct an investigation into Parish President Jessie Bellard’s firing of 21 employees.
But at a special meeting Wednesday, Council members had shifted and split evenly on a vote to hire a human resource professional to investigate the firing dating to 2022.
