Parish Council hires attorney to defend parish in suit stemming from seized dogs, termination

The St. Landry Parish Council voted to hire Paul Gibson as its attorney in a lawsuit filed against parish government by former employee Terri Courvelle. With eight Council members present, the vote was unanimous to hire the attorney after a session closed to the public.
