A school resource officer from the Eunice Police ranks was approved by the Eunice Board of Aldermen on Tuesday.
The Board approved an agreement with the St. Landry Parish School Board to provide the officer.
Next, the St. Landry Parish School Board must approve the agreement that includes it paying the city $30,000 a year to help pay for the officer.
