A 63-year-old Sunset man was arrested on three counts of aggravated animal cruelty after three hunting dogs were shot.
Dean J. Renard, of the 200 block of Mouton Road, was arrested on Monday.
The charges were brought by St. Landry Parish Government investigator Mark Kidder who received notification of the event on Oct. 11, according to a news release.
