Ernest “Ernie” Blanchard won the St. Landry Parish Council District 13 seat with 55% of the 810 votes cast in Saturday’s voting.
Blanchard, a former Eunice alderman, received 442 votes, according to geauxvote.com, the state Secretary of State’s election website.
The other candidate, Leward Lafleuer won 45% or 368 votes.
