A St. Landry Parish jury convicted a Krotz Springs woman of second-degree murder of her ex-husband, John Barker, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre.
Margaret Yvette Barker, 52, shot her ex- husband five times.
The jury deliberated just over 40 minutes to reach its verdict.
