St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard said the parish is not obligated to help Clerk of Court Charles Jagneaux pay for a building in Opelousas.
The building at 306 W. Landry St. was originally intended to serve as an election and training facility on the first floor, according to Jagneaux. The second floor was to be rented to help pay for expenses.
