Shortly after 12:00 a.m. Friday, Louisiana State Police Troop I troopers began investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Jasmine Road and Interstate 10 Service Road in Acadia Parish.
The crash claimed the life of 41-year-old Coby Ortego of Ville Platte.
