Eunice Police were called to the 200 block of Hill Street in reference to a shooting at about 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from Police Chief Kyle LeBouef.
Upon arrival, officers discovered one male victim lying in the roadway near a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No suspect(s) have been identified at this time. This is an active investigation.
