An ordinance to abolish St. Landry Parish Hospital Service District 1 is on the agenda at Wednesday’s Parish Council meeting.
The introduction of the ordinance is one more sign of the former Moosa Memorial Hospital fading into history.
The hospital district was the governing authority over the hospital, which started in 1955.
