Serving on a parish board is more than attending meetings and voting. It also requires following laws governing how meetings are to be conducted and keeping records.
The St. Landry Parish Council is developing an ordinance setting up guidelines for the boards and their members.
The ordinance is sponsored by District 5 Council member Ken Marks.
