Former St. Ed’s stars Carlton and Stan Loewer had their numbers retired prior to Tuesday’s 8-4 loss to Sacred Heart. The Loewer brothers are pillars of St. Edmund baseball. Stan, the older brother, played four years at LSU and was instrumental in the program’s rise to national prominence under Skip Bertman.
