I want to respond to two things in Jim Bradshaw’s article in today’s paper (3/23): 1. Speaking of old cookbooks, I have my grandmother’s cookbook from about a hundred years ago. I’m guessing at the age, because of my grandmother’s age, but there is no date in the cookbook. There are only two kinds of fat used in the recipes, lard and butter.
