Eunice projects are in state capital outlay budget
The Eunice City Jail and Police Department is to receive $1.3 million for renovations.
This portion of what remains of the Moosa Hospital is to receive state funding to be renovated for use by the Eunice Community Health Center and four office spaces. House Bill 2 allocated $1.5 million for the renovation.
Several Eunice projects are in the state capital outlay budget including $1,320,000 for renovations to the Eunice City Jail and Police Department.
Rep. Phillip DeVillier, who is House speaker, cautioned in a text the expenditures in House Bill 2 are not final until Gov. Jeff Landry approves them.
The city jail project is listed as payable from the Criminal Justice and First Responder Fund.
