Many people arrived early for the 9 p.m. Fourth of July Fireworks Display Friday. Kenneth Peart, former mayor and pyrotechnist, has been putting on the fireworks display show for more than 40 years. Peart has many volunteer helpers, one in particular, Donnie Richard, a pyrotechnist also. Richard handles the shooting of the shells. Peart directs and produces the showing.
