St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre will ask that a Eunice man be sentenced as a habitual criminal.
Billy James Thomas, 49, of Eunice, was found guilty by a 12-person jury on Aug. 28 of three counts of simple burglary of a vehicle, one count of attempted theft of more than $5,000 and one count of attempted theft of more than $1,000.
