Gov. Jeff Landry thanked President Trump for appointing him a special envoy to Greenland, but also said the new role wouldn’t interfere with his main job as governor of Louisiana.
“It’s an honor to serve you in this volunteer position to make Greenland a part of the U.S.,” Landry said in a post on X addressed to Trump. “This in no way affects my position as Governor of Louisiana!”
