Diane Fontenot Brunet was born in Basile, Louisiana on July 5, 1944, to her parents, Martha and Tenas Fontenot. After her mother’s passing, Diane moved to Eunice, Louisiana where she lived with her brother, Courville “Frenchie” Fontenot, his wife Amelia and their three children.
