Agnes Marie Ancelet Reiners, fondly known to many as “Aunt Agnes”, passed away February 7, 2019, in Homer, La.
Mrs. Reiners was born in Laccassine, La., on August 17, 1925. She grew up in Roberts Cove, La., and lived much of her adult life in Eunice, La. In her later years, she relocated to Sibley, La.
Services for Mrs. Reiners will be held at First Baptist Church of Minden, La., on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Minden. Graveside services will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice, LA at 2 p.m..
As a member of the First Baptist Church of Minden, Aunt Agnes exemplified the true meaning of being a servant of the Lord and participated in many activities of the church.
She was also a member of the ARK-LA-TEX Daylily Club, the Sibley Bible Study Group, and participated in the Senior Olympics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simar and Rosa Daigle Ancelet, husband Herman Reiners, siblings Clarence Estellette, Ethel Mae Murphy, Gladys Guidry, Vernice Hillidge, and Walter Ancelet. Also preceding her in death were her grandson Danny Floyd Boulet and great grandson Dylan Duplechin.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Boulet and wife Mary of Eunice, Grandson Darren Boulet and wife Vickie, Great grandchildren Amber and Dustin Boulet, Macie Hayworth Brockman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Pam, Jeff, Jerry & Patsy Hillidge for your continuous care. The family also would like to expresses their gratitude to Dr. Samuel K. Abshire, the staff of the Claiborne Memorial Medical Center and the staff of Presbyterian Village for the devoted and loving care and attention they provided to Aunt Agnes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to the First Baptist Church of Minden missions or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Minden.
