Eunice- it is with heavy hearts that the family of Albert Coker announce his passing on Monday, October 22, 2018 in the comfort of his daughter’s residence, Sandy and Jimmy Ware. He was 81 years of age.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakdale, La. Deacon David Guillory will officiate.
Visitation will be observed on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 AM until time of services.
Albert was a long time member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his three children; Albert V. Coker, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana and daughter in law Shirley Coker from Castilian Springs, Tennessee, Sandra Coker Ware and husband Jimmy of Eunice, La., David Coker and wife Robyn of Rogers, Arkansas, five grandchildren; Albert V. Coker III and wife Sarah of Evansville, Indiana, Tina Ragan and husband Nathan of Castilian Springs, Tennessee, Magnum Coker and wife Summer of Southport, Florida, Kandy K. Andrepont-David and husband Joey of Phoenix, Arizona, Johnny “Edward” Robinson and wife Amy of Pine Prairie, La., seventeen great grandchildren; Carly, Albert V. IV, Addison and Connor of Evansville, Indiana, Evan, Kellen, Arabella and Kenai Ragan of Castilian Springs, Tennessee, Lee, Major and River of Southport, Florida, John Wallace “J.W.” David of Phoenix, Arizona, Korby Robinson of Pine Prairie, La., McKenzie, Ava and Rowdy Robinson of Lafayette, La, Tucker and Marissa Richard of Oakdale, La. Two great-great grandchildren; Asher and Paisleigh Robinson of Pine Prairie, La., two sisters; Arsiley Spence and Wanda Miller of Oakdale, La., eight brothers; Bryan Coker of Oklahoma, A. C. Coker, Emmit Coker, L.C. Coker, Shirley Joe Coker all of Pitkin, La., William E. Coker and Larry W. Coker both of Glenmore, La. and Wilburn “Jr” Coker of Oakdale, La.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Phoebe F. Coker, his parents Wilburn and Mae Bell Odom Coker, one brother baby Coker and one sister, Jessie M. Buxton.
