EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alex Rene announces his passing on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mallet. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Ann’s Cemetery with Father Aubespin, Celebrant.
Alex was married to his late wife, Mary P. Rene for 54 years and he was disabled for the past 22 years. Alex is survived by extended family members, several cousins, nieces and nephews; three brothers and two sister in-laws
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary P. Rene; and parents, Wilfred and Onita Semien Rene.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mallet on Saturday, October 19th from 9:00 am until time of services.
