BASILE~It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Trahan Lopez announces her passing on Monday, June 11, 2018 in the comfort of her home at the age of 79. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown officiating.
Alice was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her children, Michael Lopez and wife, Susie of Basile, Terry Lopez and wife, Julie of Elton, Regina Lopez of Basile and Linda Perron and husband, Michael of Eunice; her siblings, Irving Trahan of Plattenville, Betty Leger of Houston, TX, Leona Bertrand of Gueydan and Harold Trahan of Pasadena, TX; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lopez; parents, Dorcinus and Idell Young Trahan; a sister, Elaine Trahan; and two grandchildren.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 7:00 am until time of services with a Rosary recited at 3:30 pm.
