EUNICE-It's with heavy hearts that the family of Allen “Cowboy” Bergeaux announces his passing on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 79. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 13 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Brother Brian McFarlain officiating.
Allen, known as “Cowboy”, will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of seven years, Pee Wee Bergeaux of Jennings; son, Donald Fontenot and wife, Jean of Basile; daughter, Sue Cormier and husband, Jimmy of Eunice; step daughters, Sulane McFarlain and husband, Brian of Magnolia, TX and Sally Simon and husband, Mitch of Lake Charles; sisters, Shirley Granger of Lake Charles, Della Lantz and Eva Breaux, both of Sulphur; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Leticia Fontenot Bergeaux; parents, Alfred and Burcy Miller Bergeaux; brothers, Robert Lee and Johnny Bergeaux; sisters, Judy Landry, Jeanette Hearod, and Audrey Bergeaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, March 12th from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, March 13th from 8:00 am until time of services.
