Anna Lee Manuel Fontenot
Anna Lee Manuel Fontenot passed on to her eternal Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 88. A Graveside Service will be held in Mt Calvary Cemetery on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Father Tom Voorhies officiating. Only immediately family may be in attendance.
Anna Lee was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.. She was also very active in her church, St Anthony Catholic Church, as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Ladies Alter Society member and choir member. Her devotion to Christ and her Church was foremost in her life. Anna Lee was a great cook, with her specialty being baking. She was an avid gardener and loved to dance. Anna Lee’s most spoken quote was “I love people”. The illness of dementia took her from all who loved and cherished her years ago.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Johnathan Bourque and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, Lou Broussard of Cornerstone Village of Lafayette and caregivers Connie Blanchard and Allison Cormier.
Anna Lee is survived by one son, Gregory Paul Fontenot; one stepson, Gregory James Fontenot; two daughters, Diana Roy and husband Robin, Kalina Cormier and husband Darryl; one stepdaughter, Michelle Misik and husband Stephen; one sister, Ruby Odom and husband Wilbert; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Manuel; her first husband, Elmo Fontenot; her second husband, Wilmer Fontenot; one brother, LJ Manuel.
