JENNINGS ~ Visitation for Artis McCrea Sr., will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with a Rosary being prayed at 9:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, both at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA.
Interment will be held at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Elton, LA with Bishop Curtis Guillory officiating.
Artis McCrea Sr., age 78, passed away March 29, 2017 at 4:09 pm at his residence.
He enjoyed the outdoors, Zydeco and Trail Rides, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include: his spouse, Mrs. Minerva Fontenot McCrea of Jennings, LA; son, David Michael McCrea, Sr. of New Orleans, LA; one daughter, Lisa Faye McCrea of Jennings, LA; three brothers: Joe McCree of Jennings, LA, Sherman McCrea of Houston, TX., and Willie McCrea of Lubbock, TX; three sisters: Josephine McCrea Guillory, Evelyn McCrea and Dolores McCrea, all of Elton, LA; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Louise McCrea, and one son, Artis McCrea, Jr.
Pallbearers will be: Isaiah Reed, David McCrea, Sr., John Robinson, Troy Fontenot, Brandon Lewis and Ray Landry, Jr.
