Ashton Bellard, a longtime resident of Eunice, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the age of 88. He was born on August 28, 1929, in Carencro, LA.
Ashton was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lucille Bellard, brothers Calvin and Rodney Bellard, and Calvin’s wife Henrietta.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Charlene Bellard, his brothers LeRoy (Bertha), Harry (Ruby), AC (Joyce), and Ronald (Rona) Bellard, and his sister-in-law Geneva. He is also survived by his sons Larry Bellard (Carolyn), Patrick Bellard (Gilda), daughter Diane Bellard Singleton, stepchildren Richard Ortego (Debra), Charles Ortego (Patricia), Vicky Ortego, and Keith Ortego, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His body was donated to science at LSU.
A private memorial mass will be held for the family.
