EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Audrey Duplechain announces her passing on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the comfort of her home with loving family by her side. She was 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Matthew Hebert Celebrant.
Audrey was a dedicated wife and a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherished her memory are her three loving daughters, Deborah Pease and husband, Michael of Cleveland, TN, Sheila Prejean and husband, Michael of Spring, TX and Angie Molitor and husband, Mitch of Metairie; her siblings, Nelson Thibodeaux and wife, Leona of Richmond, TX, Grace Deshotels of Crowley, Margaret Beck of Athens, AL, Horace Thibodeaux and wife, Kaidi of Houston, TX and Delores Charlie and husband, Fred of Eunice. A proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Patrick Pease(Katy), Kathryn Goodner(Brian), Daniel Prejean, Andrew Molitor(Terez) and Lindsey Molitor and two great grandchildren, Benjamin Pease and Rorey Grace Goodner; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Duplechain; her parents, Maurice and Eveline Picard Thibodeaux and her great grandsons, Reese and Rhett Goodner.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, March 15th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, March 16th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday.
