A loving mother left us to be with her husband, children and parents on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Carol Dupre Crooks died peacefully at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs at the age of 84. She was a native of Eunice.
She loved people, cooking, sports and caring for others, young and old, many of whom still refer to her as Maw Maw Carol. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
At the request of family, visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. until time of Services.
Carol is survived by one son, Doug Hebert and wife Beth; one daughter, Juanetta Hebert; two brothers, Ted Dupre and wife Pat, Coleman Dupre and wife Jennifer; two grandchildren, Jeffery Hebert III, MD., Brenden Hebert; two great-grandchildren, A.J. Hebert and Miller Hebert; numerous cousins, especially those who assisted in her care, Germaine West, Denise Nelson and Michelle Andrus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Crooks; her parents, Ike and Esther Fuselier Dupre; one son, Jeffery Hebert; one daughter, Karen Sanders; two brothers, Douglas "Benny" Dupre, Dave Dupre, as well as many close aunts and cousins that she is happily reunited with. May there be a joyous celebration happening now.
The family would like to thank Golden Age Nursing Home for providing excellent care of Carol for the past two years, and just recently, Life Source Hospice.
As per the Governor’s mandate, masks are required and we are currently limited to a capacity of 50 people. Practice social distancing.
