EUNICE–It is with great sadness that the family of Carol John Dupre announces his passing on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 91.
A Celebration of Carol’s life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Carol served his country proudly in the United States Army. He retired from Enron after thirty plus years. He enjoyed cutting grass, quail hunting and working with horses especially cutting horses, but most of all he loved being with his grandkids.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his children, Scott Miller and wife, Nikki of Basile, Troy Miller and wife, Toni of Eunice and Ashley Sonnier of Fenton; brother, Izzie Dupre of Richie; two sisters, Iris Miller of Eunice and Barbara Hebert of Evangeline; seven grandchildren, Nick Miller, Alexis Miller, Madison Miller, Cain Miller, Callie Miller, Hunter Sonnier and Reid Sonnier and one great grandchild, Dani Andrus; as well as extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-two years, Marie Dupre; father, Felix Dupre, Sr. , mother, Eva Klumpp; his step- mom, Iris Dupre; brothers, Isaac Dupre, Felix Dupre, Jr., Valgene Dupre and Gilbert Bergeaux; and a sister, Loyce Hebert.
At the family request, visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, August 29 from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
