EUNICE–Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 251 Nimitz St., Eunice, for Deacon Willie Roy Johnson, 68, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence in Eunice. Interment will be in Eunice North Cemetery in Eunice.
Rev. Allen W. Ben, Pastor of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Deacon Willie leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his passing his loving and devoted wife Diana Johnson of Eunice, daughter Angelic Scott (Gary) of Beaumont, Texas; Kendra Dorn (Keith) of Opelousas, four sisters; Dr. Ezora Proctor (James) of Crowley, Gloria Vallare of Eunice, Sandra Johnson Simmons of Grambling, LA; Janette Faye Guillory of Eunice, five grandchildren; Constance, Amber, Alex, J’Seri and Jayvyn; four great-grandchildren; Kaylee, Aubrii, Carson, and Ava; two godchildren; Philip Isaac Jr. and Ajyh Johnson both of Eunice, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, son Lazakia Tremaine, older brother Frank Johnson, and older sister Josephine Willis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dr. Joshua G. Frank, Sr. Christian Life Center in Eunice.
