EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothea “Dot” Tortomase announces her passing on Friday, February 22, 2019 at her home with loved ones by her side at the age of 74. At the family’s request, a Memorial Service will be Celebrated at a later time.
Dorothea, known as “Dot” by all who knew and loved her, loved playing bingo and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, but most of all she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her daughter, Donna Everett of Eunice; brothers, Sam Bordelon of MS, and Blaine Bordelon of Chalmette; sister, Denise Bordelon of Eunice; three grandchildren, Kaycee Everett, Sierra Vollmer, and Kaitlyn Everett; and four great grandchildren, Ryan Vollmer, Averilla Rogers, and Sebastian Rogers, and one on the way; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “New Orleans Joe” Tortomase; parents, Murphy and Lula Gaspard Bordelon; and brothers, Billy, Roy, Alvin, Robert, and Daniel Bordelon.
